As our population ages, “Elder Abuse” become more widespread. In California, an “elder” is a person who is 65 years of age, or older.
Claims for Elder Abuse encompass physical or financial abuse. Physical abuse may take the form of physical assault, sexual abuse, inadequate care, isolation and neglect. Financial Abuse means financial exploitation. It is the illegal or unauthorized use of an elder person’s property, money, pension, or other assets.
